Jelly

This piece was done part from imagaination and part from a CC photo. This is my 1st time using a airbrush. It took about 4 hours. I was mostly just playing around. It was freehand no stencils or masking or whatever. It was fun.

It's acrylic paint on a piece of paper. There are brush marks from painting the paper black. I didn't really intend on it turning into anything. Was just practicing but I think it turned out ok.

Thanks for looking.
C&c welcome

Re: Jelly

When I saw the title "jelly" in the listing I didn't quite know what to expect....I click on the title and here's this really cool artwork of a jellyfish!! I love the black background because to me it represents the deep sea....really deep. Good job!!!

Nice work Ellis! You might also want to cross-post it in the "Animal" forum.

Re: Jelly

Thanks for the nice words all.

I think I should add more light to it though.

Re: Jelly

So luminescent. I like the subtlety of it. You could add more if you want but I think it's striking as is.

Re: Jelly

Great job. A jellyfish would seem to be an ideal subject for freehand airbrushing - no sharp edges!
