Ein Motiv vom Muttertag. Ernst hat keine Blumen, sondern eine Teer-
Mischanlage gemalt.
A motif from Mother’s Day. Ernst didn’t paint flowers, he painted a tar
mixing plant. But some mothers who came by bicycle looked at the
picture and were amazed. This plant, painted in a shallow green for
camouflage, was used for road construction. However, it has been out
of operation for a long time and will probably be demolished at some
point.Format/Format: 35 x 50 cm
Papier/Paper: Canson fine face 250 gr
Farben/Colors: gemischte Marken/mixed brands
ID = Indoor / OD = Outdoor, plein airErnst

Painting is not everything in life - but without painting everything is nothing!May 24, 2018 at 1:00 am #626886Well done, Ernst. I love painting such abandoned places. I think there is beauty even in (and sometimes especially in) subjects that have endured the ravages of time. Glorious rust (and wrinkles!).
Absolutely love your work. Cheers,

Great to see an industrial painting. Seem to be infrequent in art subject manner but has so much to offer.Charles

-hhhErnst, I agree wholeheartedly with hhh! Your painting exemplifies all those wonderful things.
Would love to be able to stop and watch you paint for a while like the ladies on bicycles did.

SueMay 25, 2018 at 2:21 am #626900I love the tones and palette on this motif.
As long as there is light, I will paint it.
