This is a new subject for me – painting birds/animals – though I’ve sketched several of them in pen and ink. I did paint a bird once, several years ago, without having any idea of how I should go about it. This time I did have a plan and hopefully I’ll get better at executing it as I do more of these. This one is in watercolour and gouache on 300 gsm A4 size cold pressed watercolour paper.

Otherwise I think it is very good and I like flowers and background.
