Hi All,

My name is Bill Love from Belfast, Northern Ireland - UK

I am 37 and wish to start water colour painting - My paper and paints are on the way in the post- I havent done art since school and after achieving A's in both Gcse and A-Level - I am looking forward to getting that satisfaction buzz in my belly again. However this time being older and with kids I see this as a challenge as I never have done painting before - I look forward asking you questions and as I progress can share what I can do - This is a fantastic blog for the likes of me who will need major help in all areas - Thanks for setting this up - I appreciate all moderators and members. I suggest you check out the Watercolor Forum The links in my signature will help with the forum and give links to lots of demos, classes, articles, videos and free on-line tutorials.

There are many talented and generous artists in the forum who will love to share your art.

Introduce yourself in the "Daily Wash" in the Palette Talk forum - they are a great bunch of folks.

Hi Bill! I used to live in a town right outside of Philadelphia that has a lively Irish community, several families on my block were also from Belfast, and new to the US.

Anyway, welcome here. You are still young, just put in as much time as you can. Watercolor is a great medium around kids and pretty easy to clean up. And the watercolor forum here is top notch, they will help you tremendously and be a lot of fun to interact with! robin
