I like the multi-hued areas of the fur and the overall drawing. I think highlights on the nose and antlers would work well. I like the idea of a blue BG, as that works well with the brown and warm orange tones.

Thanks, Joy, it does need highlights. I have set it aside for a while as I’m not happy with it.

Re: What are you working on last quarter 2019

Recent tuxedo cat I painted, oils on canvas. I would have made his ears a little perkier but he was a portrait commission so I kept them down more since all of his photos showed that was how he wears his ears!

Robin , the eyes are beautiful. Good that you pricked his ears up a bit otherwise he would have looked rather scared or cross!! I like the brush strokes. Well done.

That's an adorable kitty Robin. Love the texture in the fur.

Beautiful work, Donna. Full of character. Are they pastels? And what paper did you use?

Re: What are you working on last quarter 2019

Robin, beautiful job on the cat Love the eyes.

Thank you Penny and Joy.

Penny they are done with soft pastels & soft pastel pencils on Uart sanded paper.
The original art the colors of the dogs are much softer. I use my phone to take the picture and it always happens it just make the darker colors stand out the most.
