Paint Out #20 Challenge!! ~~Autumn in the Park~~

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Paint Out #20
Year Created:
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: ?X?
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
We all lea
a lot by looking at and critiquing paintings. What if a bunch of us do the same subject? The extra lea
ing comes as we can see the different artistic interpretations of the same subject.

This time we get back to landscape basics. It's autum (sob!, sniff...W is coming!!!) so let's have some fun using colors and anything too slow to get away from you as you paint.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Use any medium, any size. Post any time with your explanations.

GET OUT THOSE BRUSHES, AND PENCILS, AND PASTELS, AND SO ON.

Go nuts and have fun.

Re: Paint Out #20

Thanks Kathleen. It has been a horrendous summer and fall here too. I love this pic because it has all the elements for a peacful day. A fountain, huge trees, a warm day and a park bench to savour it all from.

TI, to answer your question, yes, post your work in this thread. Have at it man and enjoy.

Looking forward to your entry Dana, and everyone else's too....

Re: Paint Out #20

well, i painted something that looks... somewhat like this.
I used brighter, warmer colors. I will post a pic. tomorrow if it is not raining where i live. I found this perfect for experimenting with colors.
Most people here know that i dont paint realistic, so i did add alot of
artistic expression that i thought would look better.

Re: Paint Out #20

A great start to our challenge TI. It took me a moment to realize it wasn't an abstract like a lot of my realism in oil looks like. I like the thick painterly texture and your bright colours. What is the medium etc?

Re: Paint Out #20

Thanks Mack!

I don't know what's up with the ACEO's either but they do seem very popular! Thought I would see what all the fuss is about. I now have a greater appreciation for them!! Can be tricky getting an interesting painting on such a small scale! Was fun to try tho!

Re: Paint Out #20

Kathleen, this is beautiful. You've absolutely nailed the colors. But how about redrafting that bench. I can't sit on it. I keep rolling off.

Re: Paint Out #20

nice work Kathleen. I even love the wonky bench, the type designed to keep people from sitting around too long...Love your colours.
