Hi.
I love walks in the woods, and I find all sorts of things there, fallen branches, the small ones, small roots and so on, I’ll try to make some sculptures out of them, any info and links will be nice to have.
Today I sat up a work space, I’ll only make smaller work don’t have space or strengt for big work.Lisa Astrup

c & c welcome anytimeSeptember 20, 2019 at 8:59 am #884022I don’t know any resources for you except for the work of Deborah Butterfield. If you look her up, you may find her contact info. Ask her your questions and she may answer them. I don’t know her, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I get questions all the time from my website, which I answer, of course, and I imagine she does too. When you learn more about the process, please share the info here, and pictures of your work in progress. Best of luck to you!

September 26, 2019 at 11:17 am #884028I used about four pieces with a little fitting her and there, on the snout is a bit of sawdust and papier mache to finish it off.

c & c welcome anytimeSeptember 26, 2019 at 11:23 am #884024Thanks for explaining! I’m always curious about how things are done, from art to manufacturing. Did you glue the pieces together or use dowels? I love the sawdust detail! Good idea!

I used wood glue, it takes a little longer but is much harder when dryed.
