Himalayan Blue Poppy

This is a cross-post from the Florals & Botanicals August Challenge. I used one of my leftover ATC cards from my Zentangle Exchange and did a "blue flower" for this month's challenge. I thought ya'll might like to see my experiment. It's on 98lb Canson mixed media paper with watercolor, acrylic, and micron pens.

Re: Himalayan Blue Poppy

Thanks, Val...I had hoped the yellow markers would show up over the blue, but no go...that's when I added the acrylics...with a toothpick!! An artist's gotta do, what an artist's gotta do!

Saw this over on F&B.. liked it there, too. You and your dots! Nice to see all the different styles over in F&B. Kurlie

Re: Himalayan Blue Poppy

They have such a diverse group in F&B...and they're conversations are hilarious! I enjoy their monthly challenges and try to participate frequently...

LOL!! Yes..."zee leetle dots" could drive a person crazy! They've made me the woman I am today!

Thanks, Conni. It was so nice of you to comment. I love your website - such diversity! Your pet portraits are adorable...and I love your ACEO section. I'm trying to spread my wings a bit...landscapes are next, I think!

Re: Himalayan Blue Poppy

I get it!!! My grandmother was English! We still watch some of the old "Britcoms" across the pond...and I still love to read many of the "old" English novels! I'm glad you like it, Marmsk...(I like to say your name )

Re: Himalayan Blue Poppy

Thanks, Wensab & Leojacko...I thought I might try another miniature flower this month for florals & botanicals, but I've been caught up with the pet portrait exchange! Oh well, maybe I can get some more flowers done soon! Are either of you signed up for the "anything that doesn't walk" exchange?
