postcards in ink

er hello all.. not sure if I belong here but stumbled across you all somewhere on WC.

I just found in my drawer some watercolour paper postcards.. I must have had them 15 years! Anyway thought I'd play with them. So here they are.. drawings are 2x4. Ink with masking fluid, wash and sticks from the backyard. I enjoyed doing them.

Am I allowed to play in this forum sometimes please?

If I am I'd love any C&C. thanks.

These are simply wonderful! Lovely detail. I especially like the first and the third. Hope to see more of your work.

Re: postcards in ink

oooh thanks for making me feel so welcome. Although I am now scared since I read that real miniature artists use brushes with one hair... eeeeek!

I am a fake because I just think small is quicker - although once I begin I get so engrossed it takes as long as a bigger piece.

Charlies's mum... no not using sticks way back...just indulging my favourite hobby of buying art materials and never usiing them (the postcards). Just started with sticks and twigs recently.

I go to a drawing class with Maria who is an awesome artist, it was something she made me do to get my out of a rut and I liked it. She was also the one who grabbed the charcoal out of my hand when I was being precious and taped it to a broomstick to make me loosen up, what a great experience. ummm so now I am going to tape my twigs to a broomstick and see what happens!

gosh I wittered on then didn't I... sorry....
