Llama

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Llama
Year Created:
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 12x24
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
Hey everybody! I’m trying to get better at painting in general and trying to get better at staying loose in my painting. Any feedback would be appreciated. I think he’s pretty much done except for some highlights and a background.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Is this good loose painting or just a mess?

Re: Llama

I think he's charming! What did you decide to do for highlights/background?

Re: Llama

Here is what I came up with for a background. I had a darker green but he kind of disappeared.

Re: Llama

That works well. I like that its not just a solid color.
The llama looks a little more washed out after the highlights, might be the photo somewhat. But keeping some more darks in there as well might help especially with the light background.

Re: Llama

It's really good. He's a painting with character not a wannabe photograph
