Lovely!
Good finish and the bumps on the whale are really super, love the over all look of this and the fluid looks to your works is always astounding!

Thanks for that, folks It was very cool to see the work come together. That doesn't always happen!

Re: New WIP - Finished

I finally got my new flatbed scanner. It's an A3 size - approx 12" x 17" area. I'm trying to fine-tune it - even though it has very nice resolution I'm not picking up the texture of the paper. Anyways, here is an updated scan of "Blessing".
I'm also including "Wave", that I just finished - 14" x 11" pencil & graphite - just because

Wow the sharpness of this scanner is great!
That size scanner is wonderful.

Re: New WIP - Finished

Hi L Skylar - yes I am very pleased It seems that the larger format will make splicing multiple scans less necessary/a non issue in many cases. When I do need to splice the scans, the larger join gives me a chance for a clean mating of files. That is a total win

Thanks Virginia. It does give a much nicer look than what my iPhone camera did, for sure. I think I'll get used to the different quirks of the larger scanner and appreciate it's attributes more as time goes on. My trusty little Epson (2004 issue, I believe) will be there for backup if necessary.

I agree Dianna. The A320 is a nice upgrade, and as far as I'm concerned a past-due one at that. A good compromise in cost/quality - the Epson Expression costs another $3,800 CDN after tax.

Re: New WIP - Finished

I really like the cutting in swoops with an eraser, and that’s a really really nice choice with the crown fitting in with them.

Re: New WIP - Finished

Jaime I've been trying the ways of going back and forth with erasers and pencils. It is a fun way to work with movement in the piece.

Thanks Anthony I decided a while ago I won't ever be a great representation artist, so I needed to explore further what seems to be my go-to interest in art. If I can improve on what it is I enjoy doing, and make it interesting for others while doing so - that's a win for me. I'm glad you like the way it's been going for me the last while

I have scanner envy.
Is that a thing?
It should be a thing.
