Re: March Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!

I had "I'll do it my way" stuck in my head because of this thread so I played it on the ukulele and sang enthusiastically, not well but enthusiastically.

The lab loves when I play and sing and comes running. The westie, the purple one in my avatar, puts his ears, grrs and leaves. It makes me laugh every time. He's such a critic.

It's funny the ATC project I'm doing right now in the mini forum also has a theme of "all about me". That's an awful lot of introspection for the new year!

A friend of Susie's plays the uke. He gets it out and plays Jewish folk melodies like "Hava Naghila" at their Ecumenical Society meetings after the current speaker is done. Needless to say, he is Jewish and has a great voice.

Virginia pets can be such critics.
Terry's old cat (now pasted on) was his groupie for 17 years.
Every time he pulled out his guitar and played she would fall down at his feet and stare up at him adoringly!
He just doesn't get that kind of validation anymore, poor guy.

Heh, I borrowed a trained Labrador retriever from a friend of mine once when I went on a dove hunt. I missed an easy shot, and I swear that dog gave me the old stink-eye. Disgusted!

Funny you should mention that, I've been thinking about the mushroom thing recently as well I rarely ever draw them but they seem to be featured a lot in my challenge pieces... I think my brain made some sort of a link between shrooms and fantasy and won't give up on it.

Something along these lines, yes I wish it were possible to merge drawing skills. Someone with your linework and my coloring would be a very decent artist

Collaborative artists, my favorite example is Greg and Tim Hildebrandt known as the Brothers Hildebrandt.

Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell are a married couple and they collaborate sometimes also.

There are probably others but I can't think of them now.

Well there were Van Gogh and Gauguin. And Picasso and Braque. And...

Yes, OK, but I was trying to think of Fantasy or Sci-fi artists.

Silly Spring ahead, it sounds cheerful but it's not!

Ugh, why can't we all quit with this time change? Almost makes me want to move to Saskatchewan. lol That would be weird though because one of our favourite pastimes in Manitoba is making fun of Saskatchewan.
