Stippled Pink Rose.

I have just finished this Stippled Pink Rose, which I will show step-by-step, as I was working on it.

The size is 10" x 8" on Premier Watercolour Paper, smooth side, 300 gsm (140 lb).

I used mostly a 005 Micron Pen with a little bit of 01 Micron.

C&C welcome.

Val.

Re: Stippled Pink Rose.

Thankyou so much to all for your kind comments, which are very much appreciated.

Hazartist, offhand I don't know of any Stipple Tutorials, but if you do a Google Search, you are sure to find some.

I don't know where the first three Images disappeared to in my post, but I guess the correct one was left, being the final finish.

Thanks again to all.
Val.

Re: Stippled Pink Rose.

Liking this, stippling give the artist so much control.

There are so many how-to books out there, but the basics of drawing and value studies always apply. and you have applied them well.

life is good

Re: Stippled Pink Rose.

Very nicely done, I know it took hours, which is about the only thing I don't like about stippling.

Re: Stippled Pink Rose.

Very nice work Val. I'm amazed when people can do a drawing like this from one side to the other. I have to do my shading in layers to get it all right. I like the color choice for the ink in this drawing.

Re: Stippled Pink Rose.

Thankyou so much Scott -- I appreciate your comments very much.

This is the second time I have replied to your post, but the first one has disappeared. So if it comes back again, you will understand why there are two posts.
