Pen & Ink somewhat !

in a around about way this is pen and ink, it was sketch in then burt in and
reinked , its a fishing rod handle.

Awesome! You could make a business out of this one. I'm an avid fisherman myself and what would be cooler than having your own personalized rod handle. The guys on the fishing shows would be all over it. Might have to try that one on one of my rods.

thanks all.
i belong to a group of people (fisherman with time on there hands) that formed a "Rods for Soldiers" program and several times a year we will build fishing rods for our returning vets.

most are presented while there still in hospitals and this will be my third rod, the others were scrimshaw on Elk horn adorned rods.

It makes this ol Nom vet happy to do it . oh and Scott if your going to try it i'd suggest ya try on a scrap of rod cork first , heheh it aint that easy .

So you built the rod too Terry?

Good for you for donating them too. I found some fly rods and bought them off of clearance then gave them to a local fly fishing club. They use them, in part, for their Project Healing Waters fly fishing classes.

That's a great idea.
