Re: Frinthy's sketchbook

Hi Frinthy, it's great news, I'm glad for you .
I like the charcoal you posted, skulls, portraits, etc, are good works, maybe my favorite portraits are the first and the penultimate, but I find it difficult to choose, I also like hatching so much that you used as in the first or last of the last post.
have a nice weekend

Re: Frinthy's sketchbook

Hello, Grazie per l'attenzione! Check this by Henry Miller, he reads his essay "TO PAINT IS TO LOVE AGAIN"

Tonal drawing is sort of magic, I am still at the beginning at it, feels good so far

Re: Frinthy's sketchbook

hi
Thank you very much for the video, launched now, it must be a fantastic book, very interesting, thanks.
i agree with what you say, Tonal contributes to the magic of drawing, of art, a magic in magic.
Shaging personally I find it one of the toughest things, however I really like how you're doing.

Ps: I really like the first charcoal in post # 80 and the hand is fantastic.
I find these drawings fantastic you posted, portraits with hatching are a beautiful show (perfetti ), like the drawings of the hands, you are posting wonderful posts. Great job.
ciao

Re: Frinthy's sketchbook

Greetings Joe!

This charcoal drawing is from today's drawing class. There is a lot to still lives, I find, even though sometimes I become frustrated doing them, I guess one has to get the hang of it. Working on tonalities now, beside using linework, and getting the proportion right. This is A2 paper

Re: Frinthy's sketchbook

hi Frinthy, I think that it is a very complex still lfe (actually they can be very rich)non facile da gestire , nel senso che è una composizione molto ricca, che quindi probabilmente implica tante sfide ma mi piace tanto il risultato che hai ottenuto, come hai gestito il tutto ,è un bel disegno.
inoltre come è lavorare in foglio A2?
