Standard Sizes

I know we discussed this a bit before this was a real forum, but am interested in what others consider standard sizes for miniature works, unmatted and unframed. From what I've seen on suppliers' sites, I'm shooting now for a painting for a 2 x 3" frame, now that I've figured out how to do the mini mats.

I also routinely do 2 x 4" paintings, which I mat to 5 x 7", not necessarily for a miniature standard.

What are your thoughts?
Chris

Re: Standard Sizes

Don't ask me.
After reading this webpage (below), I'm thoroughly confused.
It says 'GENERALLY' 5x7" framed - with no painting size given, and talks of 'miniature' being technique rather than size, talking of paintings wall-sized.

The site is Hilliard, so it's usually one that people go to for guidelines.

Jillian
