This is A4, watercolour paper.
Top left corner is mostly watercolour. The remainder is mostly OP over watercolour.
Had read some of The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe just before painting this.
That’s why I called it garden secrets. Looks like there’s a secret doorway opening up right in the middle. If I ever finish it, I’ll let you know!I could get used to this 3 pics, 1 day!

@jenniferpaints http://jrcs.com.au/artistMay 11, 2019 at 6:04 am #826295Love it; the expressions on the figures look so naughty, like they know they shouldn’t go through that door but they’re considering it anyway. It’s wonderful.

Nothing left but smoke and cellar, and a woman with a black umbrella...May 11, 2019 at 4:00 pm #826296This is so much fun – I like your characters, as well as their clothing. There’s a lot of mystery here, a story that is developing, but what is it?
Great job! You could leave this one be, or work it out a little more – either way, it’s lovely to look at, very ethereal!

I love oil pastels and have created a blog about this medium. While the blog posts are in Russian, still I invite you to get inspired with various artists' beautiful OP paintings in my blog's gallery: https://oilpastelist.wordpress.com/gallery
May 13, 2019 at 6:13 pm #826298Thanks Sarah. Now I need to give a hint of their future through a slit in the doorway.

@jenniferpaints http://jrcs.com.au/artistMay 13, 2019 at 6:14 pm #826299Thanks Terri. I had thought of leaving it but think the green divide is not really working.

@jenniferpaints http://jrcs.com.au/artistMay 13, 2019 at 7:52 pm #826293This strikes me as Edenic too. As in, could their garden secret involve the fruit of The Tree of Knowledge? That was a door of sorts; a one way door!
