Re: Airbrush Poll

First learned on the Iwata Eclipse HP-BC. A few months ago, bought an Iwata HP-B. The Eclipse is my workhorse and never steered me wrong. My HP-B, is my baby, which I use for the finer work. Love the Iwata line, and never had an urge to try another brand, since I am so comfortable with these ones. I'd started with t-shirts and illustration board when I first finished airbrush classes, but since went onto motorbikes, guitars, hockey helmets. More money in it. I was body painting at Port Dovers friday the 13th motorbike party a couple of years ago, and a guy came up and started chatting airbrush. He noted my iwata and told me that he too loved the brand. I looked up, and hey, it was my old airbrush teacher from ten years ago.

Re: Airbrush Poll

I was indoctrinated into airbrushing with a Paasche,I have since graduated to an Iwata, Grex, Richpen, and Peak but still use the Paasche from time to time. I also have an Aztek that no longer works due to the tip being bunged-up, but I got some killer detail with it when it was working.

Re: Airbrush Poll

I started a colection of springs every time somthing broke and it had a spring I kept it. Any thing electron has springs so if your looking for them thats a place to start.I have had my Iwata hp for a long time and never really have problems. I clean it during and after every session. If you have an old bicycle tire with a metal cap on the valve you will find the perfect tool to remove your brush valve

Re: Airbrush Poll

It looks like Iwata is a favorite for many of us. I mainly use a micron sb, for larger areas I use an RG 2, which is now discontinued. I have Paashe Turbo that I would really like to harness one day but I've already lost enough hair. Has anybody tried the revolution TR series. I'm really considering purchasing one because I'm so used to the RG 2. I think that finger fatigue would be greatly reduced by the pistol trigger.

Re: Airbrush Poll

I just ordered an Iwata HP-C Hi-Line. Very pricey; even from Dixie Art Supply!
I'm hoping it's all it's cracked up to be. I ordered it on the commedations I have heard for the Iwata-C on this forum. If it's not great, a lot of you people are in big trouble! (LOL) John

Re: Airbrush Poll

I have loads of different airbrushes, but almost exclusively use the Iwata HP-BH since some time. Anxiously waiting for Iwata's new HPC (with larger paint cup) to become commercially available - that gun will make spraying for custom painters so much easier! It is expected to be in the Dutch shops in January next year, I've been told. Can't wait to test it ...
