Woman Statue

5.5x4.25 watercolor, white gel pen and pencil on old bank statement paper, a mixed watermedia work that I like how it turned out.
C&C welcome

Re: Woman Statue

reading the numbers and finding the almost hidden word "Balance" is such a large part of this. it's a really big painting in a little frame. the soft background is beautifully done.

in the middle of gesso conundrum i thought of these page paintings of yours and landed on the perfect post. could you tell if it's necessary to wax/varnish watercolor on gesso?

Re: Woman Statue

Thanks!
Yes, probably providing a protective coating would help.
