too hot to paint outside, so it's time for still life in air conditioned studio. oil on canvas 30x40cm. C&C needed!

Hi Barbara...is this from life or a photo? I like the loose style, but although the apple is well painted and denotes curves well, the pear looks less rounded and possibly has a flat surface...having said that...you've done well to show the softness of your material background. Nice palette too!

Deirdre, thanks for the input. This is from life---I see what you mean about the pear--I'll try to fix it. I've been trying to simplify and work on harmonious colors. I think I'm on my way here.
