Re: Sugarcane Harvest

While the painting itself is executed very well, it's the narrative of the story being told that fascinates me. Your choices in the positioning the figures, the offset composition, and the briaresque treatment of the grass and twigs playing off against the looming landscape. Really nice work! Cheers!

Re: Sugarcane Harvest

Thak you for the kind comments. The reference for the painting is not mine got it from a someone. I did some changes in the reference like making the mountain bigger, placement and removal of some people to make the topic more insteresting.

Thanks

Re: Sugarcane Harvest

So good to see a painting brimming with life rather than the usual empty land scape. Thanks for sharing

Re: Sugarcane Harvest

The execution and technique of the white you left on the truckload of cane is exquisite. There is no way you could have replicated that "feel" without it. Very nice composition indeed

Your depiction of hard labor in the Cane fields is well done, an outstanding painting!
