Holy cow that is stunning. Beautiful composition and fantastic execution.

Is it a faux pas in this forum to ask what kinds of techniques you used for the smoke? I can't stop marveling at it.

Thank you Kathryn....not at all as we are here to discuss, learn and improve ourselves. I simply wet the surface and left Payne's Grey as well as permanent black in the areas I wanted to be dark and waited to see the outcome...not satisfied though...I'll try more.
