Resizing

Question: how do I make my photo file size smaller? Sometimes if I zoom in and come close enough that this site “adjusts” it for me. But sometimes not. So how do I do it for myself?

Re: As the Oily Rag Burns..... September 2018

If the image is truly large, the WC uploader can't handle it.

There are websites that resize jpegs, just do a search for 'resize jpegs'. You have image editing capabilities on your computer too. Just double click an image file and see what opens by default. They all have a Help menu, or you can do a search online for instructions.

I just resize to 800 pixels at the longest dimension, and that usually works.

Cute FB post Becca, feathers and floof!

Glad your 'distractions' have turned out to be not too serious and you got them (mostly) taken care of. Keep on keepin' on, as they say.

I finally began painting this afternoon, on a new piece, and I just don't want to stop. We were going to grill steaks tonight, but BF came home a few hours ago, and fell asleep. So tomorrow, maybe...

Re: As the Oily Rag Burns..... September 2018

Good Morning Oilycats!!!

I painted until 8 pm last night, but did not make the progress I would have liked, but that is inherent when I paint on a large canvas. I hope to keep my momentum going... And use a bigger brush!

The vet hospital wanted me to make an appointment for Skeez for Wednesday locally. I doubt I will get her in, since I can call until this morning because of the holiday. She isn't eating nearly enough, and Mia doesn't seem to be eating at all (although she isn't listless or anything), I hope I can take them bother at the same time.

We got a warning on the news that Army Bugs are invading Oklahoma, and we're warned that our lawns are in great danger. My news is that I never could get my grass to grow anyway...

I need to paint, too, Marcia, but I think 8pm is not on my list!

The marching of the army ants is a real thing, the question is whether they will be performing guerrilla tactics and advanced infiltration missions or not.

Been working on a new painting myself these past couple days. Going really well so far, almost done covering the entire surface, about time to start working on details and all.

Annie, I'm having trouble with the private message - I can see what you sent, but it doesn't seem to work for me returning your message. I know my mind is going, but apparently it's going so fast that I'm afraid it's Alzeimers.

You can call me at EDITED OUT

I'm having a little snit from Starshine: he seems to think he can have my chair. If I move him to sit down, he's in my lap immediately to let me know who's boss. If he's this bossy when he's tiny, can you imagine what he'll be like when he grows up? Heaven forbid.....

Hey, Nancy, no worries. I saw your reply and am happy you found a Kindle.

Yeah, you better watch out with Starshine's territoriality. Pearl thinks my bed is hers! Not to mention my chair...well, just about the whole place! I have to keep reminding her. As I understand it, most house cats need some sort of private territory, as cats are solitary animals in the wild. Maybe giving Starshine his own scratching tree or box to hide in or something like that will help, but I have to admit it didn't help with Pearl.

Nance I removed your phone number from this very public forum/thread.

Open the Private message and look on the very bottom right. Scroll if you have to, there is a reply button.

Good Morning Oilycats!!

Furriday already! I have a county arts council meeting, this morning. Long drive, and I would much rather be home working on my latest painting... Although once I get therem I know I will be glad I went.
