Took two weeks to finish this 18 x 24 oil painting of the “hanging tree” in Northern Ireland. Beautiful area…..
The tree was filmed in Game of Thrones when Brienne was escorting Jaime South.

December 8, 2019 at 7:50 pm #916346I love those dappled patterns of light & shade on the path, bluebells either side & overhanging branch which together, lead the viewer into the scene nicely. Well Composed Wes !

December 9, 2019 at 6:51 am #916356I love that huge tree. It looks like those eerie branches are going to come alive grab anyone who dares to walk down that path. I very much like those vibrant greens and striking blues and the path is excellent. Two weeks well spent in my view and great job once again, Wes. I think I am one one the few who hasn’t watched a single episode of GOT, but I am sure someone who is an avid fan would find this very appealing!

December 10, 2019 at 8:10 pm #916354I echoe Bizzibee about the branch – it’s so alive. The greens and blues just sparkle – very effective!
