Yippee! I followed a tutorial on youtube and felt good about how this turned out. I needed a success right now. LOL! This was done without medium and on a smooth wood panel.

Thank you, Ilya. Yes, I am still frustrated with long drying time, but I guess that is what you have to deal with if you want to paint in oils. And I do… Yes, I am thinking that the acrylics can go into hiding. LOL!

Maybe it is then better to use stretched canvas instead of solid support like wood. It will breathe from both sides, will be drying a bit faster. I think that on wood even acrylics give you couple of extra minutes.

Looks good! Can you share the tutorial link? I am in the same boat having problem of too long drying time with oil. I was having problem with acrylics since they dry too fast! Need Goldilocks paint:lol:
