I don’t know if I will keep up but thought I’d try
a really quick sketch, under 2 minutes, using a calligraphy pen and waterbrush of one of my favourite brushes
Please add yours if you are taking part????

October 2, 2018 at 8:30 pm #705535What a juicy look to that pen…lots of good ink.
I am taking part in Inktober again this year. Here are my day 1 & 2 sketches which were done from life. The second sketch was shaded using an ink wash made by touching my water brush to my Lamy pen and picking up some ink.

October 4, 2018 at 8:32 am #705542I really want to try making a comic of some sorts for Inktober, though not sure what story to draw yet. But did some character designs; this one is obviously for a buddy cop story lol.
October 4, 2018 at 2:58 pm #705528interesting hope you do get your story done
so another quick one as I’ve been really busy – part of the plein air kit of ink in small pots with gauze so they don’t spill and bamboo pen (or twigs) drawn with a fountain pen and waterbrush

October 5, 2018 at 4:38 pm #705543Really like the pen and wash effect.
I continued on with my comic venture and character designs.
October 8, 2018 at 11:27 am #705536Wonderful work so far. I’ll add my latest WDE here. Not done from life nor imagination but instead done from reference images from Connie T:

October 10, 2018 at 2:46 pm #705530I found an old photo of our cat in 1983 (I used to play with bW film sometimes and print it myself, this was one), When I printed it I noticed the headline on the newspaper!
Drawn for inktober with a fountain pen and waterbrush in a Zeta sketchbook – the paper put up with the scratchy pen nib hatching lines into wet washes and a lot of mistreatment and still didn’t bleed through or crinkle.

All Media Art Events, Artwork From Life, Art JournalsOctober 23, 2018 at 6:49 pm #705521I’m using my new Hahnemuehle Cappuccino book for this project.
Mostly Pigma Micron pen with white gel pen highlights. I had to add a bit of colour to the last one – Inktense pencils and acrylic inks for the rose.
