I found this bowl in a thrift shop and was determined to find a role for it in one of my paintings, so I added some trusty apples.

        How does it look?

Outstanding, Bill. I think you’ve become the “Apple King” of WC!

No one does apples as well, Bill! They fit anywhere really with any subject. I love the old antique look to the thrift shop bowl that can be used again and again in set ups, even having fruit or beads spilling out, even flowers. Beautiful!!!

I’ve seen (and painted) a lot of apples, but what I really like is the inside of the bowl. Well done!

I’ve visited this post several times and each time I find more that I really like. Great work!

Really lovely. I enjoy your value placement, a dark earthy band, then an interesting, flowing “white” shape, then another dark earthy band. Colors on the white fabric and reflections on the table top are super.

I’m working on another painting with this bowl.
                                Slow, but getting there.

I used to live in Hamilton NJ before moving south. Love this painting! Beautiful earth tones without getting muddy. Love the inside of the bowl, too.

You might know the Salvation Army thrift shop on Rte 33 where I found it.
I love it and am trying more paintings featuring it.

I had a bout with some health issues (it looks as if I won!) but am feeling much better now and hope to be painting again soon.
