Another tree portrait

I have been stuck at home most of this week while our bathrooms are being sporadically remodeled. I finally got out today.

This is Golden Open Acrylics on Multimedia Artboard that has been sealed with Liquitex Acrylic Gouache. This is a pretty decent combination. To get a finished product with Golden Opens I think that I would have to let this set for a couple days to make adjustments. My plein air paintings are studies so this works for me.

C&C welcome. Gary

Re: Another tree portrait

I like the touches of color in the clouds. You might want to adjust the sky holes in the near tree.

I hope your house remodeling is done and satisfactorily, that you all enjoy the changes!

Very nice! I love the gold in the grass, and I just want to keep looking at that tree...

Thanks Contumacious. Every year it is a struggle to get back into plein air work. I appreciate the encouragement.

Gary, Fine study. I especially like the chroma levels, they are working well together to create space.

Re: Another tree portrait

Thanks Patrick. I tried to focus more on earth tones for this one, easier to keep chroma in check. Gary

Peaceful and lots of depth. I’m entering to see what is past the tree line over the hill! Great colors.

Re: Another tree portrait

Thanks Mac. Trees are my favorite subjects, they never complain about the lack of a likeness.

Thanks Jo. Nice to hear from you!
