Thank you for the etiquette info. Also for a great invitation to jump into the conversation. I am a newbie to art forums in general and to Wetcanvas, and appreciate the direction you're giving us with your post. I have very little knowledge of abstract art, especially the classical styles I'm seeing here - just a lot of appreciation for the talent and knowledge you all have! So I don't know how valuable my comments on folks' work will be, at least at first. But I will be dropping in to show some appreciation for work that I like, and will try to figure out why I like the piece(s).
I want to thank all the people who posted to the thread "Help if you have trouble with Abstracts". Some wonderful information and suggestions here! I look forward to exploring more threads and of course art on this forum even if my own stuff doesn't really belong here.
I have recently started to do dot paintings (just finished my first one, you can see it here
It's pretty rough, I had to paint out and re-do about 1/4 of it :-\ )
If this style doesn't belong on this forum, could someone please suggest another one? I really would like to both meet other artists interested in similar things (doesn't have to be dot work specifically) and also ask for comments on my work.
Thanks for wading through all of my ramblings :-)
