How should I frame 1/8 inch hardboard panels?

Hello, everyone.
I bought a couple of 9 by 12 inch hardboard panels, and I have been painting on them. These panels are 1/8 inch thick.

I would like to know if there are any other artists who have painted on similar kinds of surfaces, with a very thin profile and how did you go about framing your artwork so you can hang it on a wall?

Presently it seems I have 2 options. There is a framing shop nearby I could have make me custom frames for the paintings... OR I could go to Hobby Lobby or some similar store and search for frames that have a 9 by 12 size on the inside. Please let me know what you guys think.

Thank you.

-John

9x12 is a standard size. you shouldn't have any trouble finding them.

Here's something to consider John. If you simply have the custom frame shop build frames for you from a selection of moderately priced moulding while you do your own fitting it can be about the same price range as purchasing already made frames from Hobby Lobby.
