Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter The Source - XP from Drawing

"The Source"
I used assorted unattributed reference pics. Not having contributed here for a long while, I thought I’d cross post a drawing into this forum because of the figure element
12"x12" assorted pencils and graphite w eraser play

Re: The Source - XP from Drawing

Hi Bethany - thanks My figure work the last few years is exclusively from reference photos, so I tend not to cross post here in the Figure forum.

Thanks Arlene I enjoyed going around the piece trying to get it to flow.

Re: The Source - XP from Drawing

Hi Constance That’s what I hoped people would see. I’m trying to make work that people find stories in. What would be really cool is for folks to find their own unique stories responding to the piece. Fingers crossed that somebody does just that

Thanks David

Thanks for posting kramus, to me it looks like an assortment of Canadian wildlife I've heard nude blondes abound in Canada.

Hi Bill - pretty close
I'm actually trying to develop iconic Canadian imagery that doesn't smack of cultural appropriation (that is, look like a cheap ripoff of Haida art of the Pacific West Coast). The nude blond - well, I was aiming for hair with a waterfall look, hence pale vs the darker locks of an Indigenous Gaia Goddess
