        Another experiment!

        A randomly painted scrap of paper, a pearlescent glaze, a floral image and negative painting with white gesso.

        The white background wasn’t working, so I tried black gesso and added subtle glazes to bring out the form of the flowers.


        Finished image approx 4″ x 6″

        Yes, nice! works much better with the black b/g – the random colours are lovely.

                    Beautiful and I like the poppies on the black background much better. The black background really makes them sing – they look stunning on black!
