Abstract Portrait

Name: 004 - Copy (598x800).jpg
Views: 200
Size: 303.1 KBI used acrylic and water allowing the paint to thin. Then I allowed the paint to run off the canvas and soaked up with papertowel and reused as almost a wash (blue). I also used acrylic without water to get full effect of color. Used fingers and brush. This is the first "abstract portrait" I painted. Not from photo or other form of inspiration, just what came to mind. Painted in an afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed. I wish I knew how it happened so I could bottle it up and use it again. I guess I don't trust myself, and maybe it's time I do. Thanks for looking!!

Re: Abstract Portrait

It's an effective portrait, but not really abstract - it's still figurative

It is, though, from your imagination, as yu say
