sunset reflections Cornwall

I sketch plein air whenever I can and this is from memories of the beach at sunset, with the reflections on the wet sand.

Done on Sunday for a pastel exhibition hanging on the Wednesday - nothing like taking it to the wire!

the pale grey is actually a very pale icy blue

about 14 inches, pastel - underpainted with pastel plus water to create washes, then dry pastels over, on Fisher 400 paper

Very Nice!! Has a wonderful, abstract quality about it.

in a black waxed slim frame with a wide antique white mount. I like my framing very very simple, nothing fussy. I forgot to photograph it in the exhibition will have to see if any friends did

and thanks for all the positive comments
