Had an idea to visually “crop” the compo of this painting. Did it work?

            Hmmm…
Well, it seems to reduce the foreground to simply a “frame” that we are looking past, to the “main composition”.
I’m not sure it does work, it seems a little awkward…
I would be inclined to consider reworking the composition with less foreground, rather that trying to save it…
            JMHO :)

You’re very welcome, its just my opinion, of course.
Nothing wrong with trying to save a painting either, but I usually end up on the journey from bad to worse :)
On the other hand, repainting is a valuable exercise.
It makes you less precious about the whole thing, IMO, and hones your technique.
I”m just working on a repaint for my “small paintings” thread, so I will have to put my money where my mouth is :)
