Barnyard Rooster

This is the first chicken I've ever done and the first bird in color. Presenting "Noodle" ... who grew up pretty enough he did not end up being "Chicken and noodles".

This is about 5 x 7 and mostly colored pencil on drafting film, with a touch of metallic pan pastels and irridescent soft pastel.

Re: Barnyard Rooster

Beautiful work. Reminds me of the rooster who resided a few houses away. He's gone now and I sure do miss him.

Re: Barnyard Rooster

Beautiful CP work Sharon. Glad Noodle didn't end up in the pot. He certainly is far too handsome.

It is more vivid in person, but I was actually a bit surprised that the irridescent colors showed up as well as they do in this scan. I tried photographing, but the scan was considerably better.
