San Fruttuoso - WIP

Based on a photo from a recent family holiday. I've stripped out all the people, the boats in the water and most of the beach clutter, to give a more focused image. My sketching of the boat on the right is a little off and I only noticed after putting colour on it...

And a little more work from last night

I really don't like the paper I'm using at the moment. It's nice and thick, but way to grainy for the coloursofts. Need to go down to a fine grain rather than a medium grain one I think.

Honesty, this is wonderful, the view/composition is very inviting to my eyes. The colors you are using seem to add to the warm feeling as well.

I like the texture that shows on the art, may I ask what type of paper?

Looking forward to seeing more.

Very nice work! It's very appealing to look at - the scene has a lovely timeless feel that I like.

Do keep posting your work, and let us know how you get on trying out different pencils and papers - I always enjoy hearing people's experiences.
