"NIGHTWATCH" started out as an experiment in creating depth. It is a 16x12 Claybord and I used a variety of tools on it including my airbrush. It is one of those pieces that was far more successful than I would ever have imagined when I decided to do a night scene on whiteboard. I tried to keep it as simple as I could and still create a feeling of depth. I feel very blessed that it worked.
It won the Silver Award at the inaugural ISSA Exhibition in Glen Ellen, Ca. It received the Blue Ribbon for 1st place in the Drawing division and the People's Choice Award out of 180 entries in my local Art League's annual show. It is by far my best work of 2012.
