Three Fluers

Overall, a good deal of concentration was used to get this far with this unfinished work. I just need to give it a few days rest, and see where it goes. Some shadows I expect some shadows will jump out at me.

Re: Three Fluers

Soft and romantic. You can use some more variations (darker tones) to finish this

Re: Three Fluers

Thnx guys, here is an update, no leaves, (why not?, I don't know exactly, I'm a purist I guess).
Creative K, you must be my Valentine, in that case.
cmallav, here are some darker tones, perhaps more to come, ... after it speaks to me.

Not sure, ...

I'm not quite decided as to what this is, if anything other than an abstraction of a seascape. C&C?

Re: Three Fluers

it is always best to place different paintings in their own threads
many folk only look once, so they will not see this.

and they both deserve being seen

I like your looseness

Re: Three Fluers

The pink flowers are lovely. Strangely enough, I have done something not that different ages ago and really enjoyed the process.

Re: Three Fluers

Okay, here they are. I forgot I actually did a set of two.

I spoiled the second one as the central part of the flower looks like a button

Re: Three Fluers

I see the similarities, big brush methods, mine however uses a large filbert.
And the button? I don't see a problem there, looks like a flower to me!!!
Very nice, Thnx for posting and Happy valentines day!

Re: Three Fluers

In these paintings of yours I can see a brushwork loose and free that suggests the urgency to convey an emotion more than the intention to describe something, I love this style, captivating works
