This has come up before, and I always hate this question. Why do we only get 3?

Anyway… it changes all the time. Right now it is Botticelli (that one is pretty constant) Michelangelo (that one is new… I never cared for him when I thought of myself as a painter, but now that I’m thinking of myself as a sculptor… well… what can I say?) and Max Ernst (’cause I’m in an odd mood today )

Changes from time to time. I’m submerged in Giacometti now. Millet has always been a favorite. Delacroix stays up there more often than not. Just three, huh? Just in this post, right?

My three would have to be Albrecht Durer, Giotto, and Titian. All great in the own fields.

My favorites ar Renoir, Monet and Michelangelo. But! it depends on whose work I’m viewing. I just saw the John Singer Seargeant show in Seattle last month and loved his work. I must be fickle when it comes to who I like at any given moment. There is so much wonderful art in the world it is hard at best to choose. I’m going back up to Seattle in a couple of weeks to see the National Watercolor show and I’m sure I will have some new favorites then. I’m jst lucky I guess to see so much to enjoy. wilda
