irises

I tried acrylics for the first time painting outside, just for fun. These are in my backyard, 1/2 hour quickie during lunch. Boy, what a difference a few days makes--Sunday I was out painting in a t-shirt, shorts, and slathered in bug spray w/ a hat for sun protection. Today I was in 2 heavy fleece jackets & was wishing for gloves! Ah, Wisconsin.

Took the photo w/ my cell phone, it's a little blown out. The tops are actually quite yellow.
