These are great! Loved hearing of your adventures too.
Your colors are great, you captured the scenes very well.

Re: Plein Air Adventure in Big Bend National Park (XP-Plein Air)

What wonderful paintings and even better stories! I actually live in Terlingua and love to read and hear about other people's journeys of discovery as they make their way through this vast Big Bend country. I especially liked your painting and story about Closed Canyon in Big Bend Ranch State Park. It is one of my favorite places here. I do understand how you felt that it was creepy - if you are the only one there, it does tend to feel that way. I often find mountain lion tracks in the sand there, so, your feeling of creepiness is very justified!

Nice works and a great adventure. To me little mishaps on a trip, especially, when it works out well just adds the sense of adventure that suits my personality. My wife is not as amused. Is that a Josh Bean palette set up? Looks like the one I bought from him a couple years ago. I like it but do not do enough PAs to worry about wearing it out. I do love plein air painting though (and being out in nature). Your ingenuous repair did the trick. I haven't been on the site for years but glad I checked in.
