My father has a plaster sculpture. Very old and the place it used to be in the past it had alot of inces from candles burned around it. So looks dirty and dark, he wants to restore it to original color and fix the broken pieces also from it.

Any advice on fixing it and removing that tart without removing paint?
Don’t have picture yet so can’t share it.

        Thanks.

If it’s dear to you, you might want to invest in having a professional do it. Painted plaster is not something I would clean myself.

        Good luck!

Seconded. If it’s precious, don’t try to do something to it that you’ve never tried before
