Looking for very book technical books

Hi,

I am looking for books, that told facts for medium, material, pigments and so on. I do not have interesting of hundreds of pages for stories. I heard from Ceninni and a other very good book that used fakers. The problem in the book in this times are that they told things, that are not interested to paint when you would like make a style then old masters.
Where can I found this books?

Hi,

Your request is a little cryptic and somehow difficult to understand. Anyway, books dealing with the topics you want are kind of old and not complete, take a look at:

The Artist's Handbook of Materials and Techniques: Fifth Edition, Revised and Updated (Reference)

https://www.amazon.com/Artists-Handb.../dp/0670837016

Painter's Handbook: Revised and Expanded

https://www.amazon.com/Painters-Hand...BMWCC44ZN6CGEH

The Materials of the Artist and Their Use in Painting: With Notes on the Techniques of the Old Masters, Revised Edition

https://www.amazon.com/Materials-Art...27FF30Z4YFGQ6T

Timeless Techniques for Better Oil Paintings

https://www.amazon.com/Timeless-Tech...s=books&sr=1-1

Encephalopathy is a term that means brain disease, damage, or malfunction.

I am confused with your question, but I believe you are asking about the information in the books.

It is hard to find the perfect book, specific information is sometimes scarce and disseminated, with some considered trade secret. However, if you know where to look, the internet is your ally.

You probably mean encyclopedia

I think The Painter in Oil - Parkhurst (doverpublications.com) might be what you're looking for too?

Edit - You can also look on archive.org and search for Oil Painting, there are a lot of out-of-copyright old books that talk about technique and recipes.

Re: Looking for very book technical books

Have a look at anything by James Gurney,

http://jamesgurney.com/site/

One of my favorite books is:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Painters Handbook has a ton of information in it. Very good reading and very much focused on materials etc.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/08...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ralph Mayers book. Dated but lot of info

https://www.amazon.com/Artists-Handb...b ooks&sr=1-1

A bit dated but I learned a lot from Harold Speeds book:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/04...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There are many more. Keep reading.
