I’ll be making drawings over the next while that sit somewhere between a quickie concept sketch and a finished piece. Mebbe they won’t be as often as weekly – so long as drawings are happening it’s all good
I put a butt icon up there because some of the drawings will include figurative elements.
My last one, and the couple before that.

they are all wonderful, the second and third are really brilliant,ingenious
with negative space but they are all fantastic , beautiful

Thanks Joe I’m gearing up for major home renovations which has put a damper on the artwork, but I’m thinking the middle-road drawings will help ideas percolate nicely :thumbsup:

good luck for renovations ,however, i believe it too, and renovation of the house will go great with your taste and your imagination and you’ll be back soon with great new designs and I can not see that they are beautiful

Dianna, chrysalis are amazing. I’ll probably explore them for a while. There’s something about that percolating bridge between earth-borne caterpillar and fluttering butterfly that is both mysterious and beautiful

Maple Line Concept Sketch
The look of maple tree branches against the sky is very evocative. I want to develop images that fit the Maple Line theme. Here is one such drawing combining a Tree Dancer with Whales. 8″x12″ pencils and graphite powder
