        Hi

I have done two new ink works. One was a quick copy of a cherub from a masters drawing done on tracing paper. The other drawing, is a boat from a local walk that I go on. I am not happy with the stippling in the sky on the boat drawing, so I will do some sky practice. I am currently working on a pencil drawing, but after that is finished I will focus mostly on pen and ink / ink and brush going forwards, I just don’t like the shine that happens with graphite.

            Those are both beautiful drawings.

The stippling in the sky is hard to notice in these pictures; perhaps the subtlety is what bothers you about it. But at any rate, I don’t think there is anything distracting or off-putting about it, which is always my concern when I put in the sky.

Very nice but – (there’s always a “but” isn’t there!) I don’t like the boat being smack in the middle of the drawing. I would be inclined to crop it and avoid this.

Very nice! I especially like the boat drawing: lovely… it has a nice feel: very calm and serene.
