I like this already! Is that a sheet of La Carte you're working on?

Re: Red Shoes WIP

Now this is an interesting way to display shoes! I'm expecting a good story to go with this.

Wellllll.....I suspect there could be a number of different stories to go along with it! I'm leaning toward classic car show host, taking five. But could be much more interesting stories assumed! I guess if everybody has a different take on it, then my job painting it will have been successful!

Re: Red Shoes WIP

Looking forward to the final painting. I do realize you are only starting but I did want to point out that shoe on the right may need some adjustment. The sole is shorter and heal much longer and pretty far forward on shoe compared to the other shoe. Hope you donít mind observation. Pam

Here is the reference:

I'm thinking the legs are crossed, because there's a buckle on the right ankle strap, as we look at it. Which leads me to believe the legs are crossed and that foot stretched, with toes turned up maybe?

Re: Red Shoes WIP

Hi. Well I stand corrected so please accept my apology, however, since the photo will not be displayed with the art how will it read to the viewer? Again, sorry. I promise, no further comments. Pam

Re: Red Shoes WIP

Perhaps the buckle, when I add it, will make a difference. Never know though.

This is great! You're right about the story, my first thoughts were definitely erotic but this could also be murder-mystery material too. Would actually make for a good book cover for something dramatic. Great photo reference and concept, you're painting it so well too! And yeah, her legs do look crossed, but that wouldn't necessarily change the allure at all!

Thanks, Robert! I've wanted to paint this for a long time now. I just don't have a lot of time to paint any more. I had to open up my schedule at work so I could get enough hours to actually live on. So my days off are scattered all over the place now. Along with all the other things to get done on days off, which aren't always two days together any more. I need a maid and a chef! Then maybe I'd have more time to paint! lol
