Re: "I" Pochade ver 3.0

Hey thanks for your comments everyone!! I will post some pics of this weekends endeavours as soon as I can. I have been toying around with the idea of putting a tripod mount on it, I'm just not sure where at yet.

Tonalist- The stationary brass piece I think your referring to on the front of the box is the bottom half of the brass lid clasp to hold the box closed.

Mike1947- Thanks! To see a good thumb box thread that is a little more simple in design is in the Hall of Fame by Marc Hanson (Paintbox1). Great thread on small portable boxes.

William Moore- Thanks, I was really trying to replicate the Open Box M pochade box, which I have dreamed of owning one for years. Ben Hagget @Alla Prima Pochade has really modernized the old school pochade with magnets and torque hinges. Something to consider in the future...

Ok, this is by far the best looking homeade pochade box I have seen. Almost too nice to use. If you ever decide to make some of these for sale, let me know I want one.

Re: "I" Pochade ver 3.0

H Jeff;
Thanks for posting and sharing your ideas freely. I am relatively new to Wet Canvas. I am trying to build a pochade box. I would like to know what brass hardware you used to hold the canvas? Where could I buy them and do you have a picture? Also I am unable to find the brass hardware on the side to hold the lid ?
I would appreciate greatly if you could help. Thanks.
