Thought I would sketch since I’m hosting…. Ha.
In the big book with a Prismacolor 01. Too quickly. I put fish on the list because usually when we have anything to do with fish, beach or shells, I don’t have anything to sketch. I saw these on the wall and had to put fish on the list.
Number 1, fish – wooden fish hanging with string on wall
Number 2, kitchen item – a wrought iron key holder on the kitchen wall
Number 3, jar – a jar of New Mexico green chile, yummmmm

1 aromatic – for those who know plants, the reference was a snapdragon.
About 10min using .5 mm Hb mechanical pencil. Image is about 1.5 in wide 3.5 in high in my 9×12 in sketchbook. One of the lesson goals was to draw one for one. Next exercise will be to enlarge.

…slinks back in after a rather long absence…
#1 Aromatic — a sprig of rosemary (which will now go into tonight’s meal). (The leaves were just lying around on the page.)
Robin, thanks. Non aromatic is good, I think I drew a can of tuna once for fish. One house we rented had a bathroom sink with Mexican tile and it had a fish. Otherwise we never have any. Ha.
I sketched out on the downstairs porch yesterday in a travel Canson mixed media sketchbook, 7 x 10 inches with the Sharpie pen.
Number 4, vehicle – red truck/pickup next door
Number 5, big – the tall pines across the road .. huge compared to the little tree in our yard.
Indikon, you posted while I was writing mine. Mmmmm. I can smell the rosemary. The leaves are beautiful. Welcome back!

indikon – I can almost smell the rosemary and hear the crinkle of the dry leaves. Nice work.
Jo – the truck with corrections made me laugh. I usually throw those away.
But now the trees.. Great! They are terrific.2 – big. While my reference is not big I am subbing this for big as the task was to draw BIGger the you see it. Used H, HB, 2B and erasers. Image is roughly (very) 4inx4in The actual vase is a miniature and almost 3in tall.
