Hello. The snow and ice keep melting turning landscapes into a swamp around here. Watercolour paint/pencils and ink. 9″x12″ paper.

enhanced image (The original looks somewhere in between these two.)

A lovely piece Yvonne! Great job with the grasses and subtle variation in color.

Very nice capture of that thawing condition. Good job.

Very nice Yvonne and yes I will second that about the thaw…. the weather has been very up and down.
You have wonderful earthy colours here reflecting the thaw and your colour gradations are super.

Yvonne, you portray the soupy atmosphere beautifully with your fluid strokes (pardon the pun), and your tight values. Very evocative!

Lovely work with nice muted tones Yvonne.

Nice mixed media work. I think you caught the look of a midwinter thaw very well. Gary

                            Thank you all very much.

Today I finally created a lightbox to photograph my artwork properly and this will just need tweaking with the lighting (too yellow on the left) and exposure but the one below is closest to what the original art looks like.

Lovely work Yvonne reminds me of the marshes in Lord of the Rings but not so dark in subject matter!!

I like your composition and the way you create depth in this painting.
